DARTDevices is about doing interoperability right between digital devices, PCs, mobile phones and Internet servers. Our approach is based on using our Dart technology to provide a software layer so C++ applications using our framework can interoperate across very different devices (different OSs, CPUs, network protocols, special purpose hardware, displays, etc.)
| Our first order of business is showing the world just how different Dart apps are from what the world has been settling for. Our recent Alpha launch is our first step in showing the world how easy interoperability should be. |
In our Alpha stage, the DartBoard platform is bundled with the first Dart applications in our StarterSuite. After our Alpha, DARTDevices will release software development kits (SDKs) for any company or individual to develop Dart applications in C++ using the Dart Framework.
DARTDevices will distribute new Darts (applets) directly from our website, spanning a range of free apps to apps licensed for a modest fee, as well as apps used for promotional purposes. ISVs may also distribute Darts through our site, or through any other channel available to them.
DARTDevices is licensing device vendors and PC makers to ship the DartBoard with bundles of Dart apps. Carriers, Internet Service Providers and enterprise organization will also be able to license DartBoard for Windows and Linux servers directly from DARTDevices or through alliance companies.
While Dart can run on an extremely wide range of digital devices, the initial devices we will support are Windows and Mac PCs, popular smartphones, Windows and Linux Internet servers and devices targeted as part of alliances with device vendors, wireless and wired carriers or other partners.
