- Clearly differentiate your products as ‘easiest to use’ for end customers
- Increase the potential value of products for device OEMs
- Network effects – your products will benefit from other Dart-enabled devices in the field
- More powerful, more functional, more interoperable, yet simpler
- Add value and stickiness without adding significant cost
- You will score more design wins
- Design wins across chip sets
- Design wins across customer product lines
With the DartBoard embedded, products made with your chips will be ready to interoperate with other devices like set-top boxes, PCs, Smartphones, NAS, GPS, cars, and more. And they’ll be able to immediately leverage the features that the OEM device makers bundle in to the end CE product, and use the product in concert with their other CE devices.
Dart technology helps the end user release the functionality in their devices. Modern cell phones are marvels of technology that have many features, yet they have been forced into silos where they can not interoperate well within the phone, and certainly not with the customer’s other devices. At Dart, we didn’t re-invent the wheel…we just attach it to a vehicle so it can go places. Instead of competing with what quality chip foundries and handset vendors have built, we just build off of it, and make the devices interact better across device types, and across vendors.
In liberating the advanced functionality in phones and CE devices, we make it easier for people to actually use these modern features, and thus increase the demand for the most functional devices. This is absolutely synergistic with silicon vendors.
Chip companies can participate and contribute to the Dart ecosystem by embedding the DartBoard environment directly on the silicon. It has a thin footprint, and offers value to your immediate customer, the handset maker, and the end user as well.
The mobile phone and CE device market is growing globally, but splitting in two. There is the rapidly growing demand for low cost devices, and there is the smaller, still growing market for high-end devices and smartphones with maximum functionality. Certainly, chip makers can benefit from both trends, but the low-end products are commoditized with little margin, and most use the minimum number of cheap processors to keep costs down.
On the high end of the market, multiple chips are installed in a single device, including co-processors for video, VM enhancement, radio vs. smartphone, and more. Not only does this represent a higher chip per device ratio, but these chipsets tend to be powerful, more cutting edge, and support higher margins. But difficulties in using the latest features, and myriad disconnected devices spoil the user experience with high end CE. Reducing the friction between your users and advanced high-end features will increase the demand for this class of device.
DARTDevices wants to work with you in reducing that friction. Your company represents the gears of progress, and we're the drop of grease that makes the gears spin freely. Let's work together to increase value of, and the demand for these high-end products.
